The rumoured LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian Microfighter sounds familiar

A second Microfighter based on Star Wars: The Mandalorian is rumoured with two figures and that concept sounds familiar in multiple ways.

Though the report has yet to be confirmed and should be taken with a heavy pinch of salt just in case, rumour has it that 75363 Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter Microfighter with 88 pieces for $14.99.

Previous Microfighters have cost $9.99 apart from a few double packs and this price rise could be due to another build being included, though not named in the set title, or it may just be a price increase.

As Din Djarin’s new ship is a modified N-1 Starfighter, it could make sense for a Microfighter of the ship to follow the design seen in 75223 Naboo Starfighter Microfighter which featured 62 pieces for $9.99.  The 2019 set isn’t the only way that this rumoured LEGO Star Wars set is familiar, as The Mandalorian’s first Microfighter is 75321 The Razor Crest Microfighter

The report notes that this set could include two figures for Din Djarin and Grogu. While that’s uncommon for LEGO Star Wars Microfighters, it’s not unheard of.

75223 Naboo Starfighter Microfighter included the domed head of R2-D2, representing a second character alongside Luke Skywalker as did 75032 X-wing Fighter Microfighter for another astromech droid.

However, the escape pod in 75228 Escape Pod vs. Dewback Microfighters included space for a full figure of both C-3PO and R2-D2, making it the first Microfighter to sit two minifigures and potentially taking the title from the rumoured Mandalorian model.

As familiar as parts of the rumoured 75363 Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter Microfighter sound, this could still be the first Microfighter depiction of the ship and a more affordable alternative to 75325 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter, though possibly not at minifigure scale. The report has yet to be officially confirmed so take it with caution.

All these similarities may offer an idea of what to expect from this rumoured set as we wait for the start of The Mandalorian Season 3, where the modified N-1 Starfighter will feature for the first time since it debuted in The Book of Boba Fett. Also available in the meantime, with less than two weeks to go at the time of writing, is a host of Mandalorian models including 75331 The Razor Crest and 75328 The Mandalorian Helmet.
