Rumoured LEGO Marvel Sanctum Sanctorum set detailed

More details for the rumoured LEGO Marvel Sanctum Sanctorum model, including the potential layout of the building have been reported.

Please note that this information is only a rumour until officially confirmed by the LEGO Group and should therefore be treated with caution. Based on a previous teaser, we may know more at LEGO CON 2022.

Promobricks are reporting that 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, which may have been teased since their last rumour, may include three floors of rooms to explore in the corner building. These are said to feature a ground floor, a first floor and an attic. They mention that walls can be removed from the rumoured model, indicating that there won’t be an open back to the build unlike the previous Sanctum Sanctorum set.

This removable wall element is reported to include a portion of Gargantos on the first floor, who was last seen earlier this year in 76205 Gargantos Showdown. The Rotunda of Gateways is also believed to be included on this floor.

The ground floor is rumoured to mostly be made up of the grand staircase in the lobby of the Sanctum, but with a secret room holding the time stone beneath the stairs. Little is mentioned regarding the attic, only that it could include various treasures.

The exterior of the sanctum is reported to include similar elements to 76178 Daily Bugle with boxes hiding Technic connection points to attach it to the previous Marvel model and other modular buildings.

A courtyard at the rear is mentioned with graffiti decorating the sanctum’s rear including a poster of Nick Fury and the symbol of the ten rings, which can be associated with Shang-Chi. A billboard is also rumoured to advertise a Captain America exhibit at a museum, a type of building that has yet to receive an official modular building of any kind.

The minifigure selection is said to include the same variety as previous rumours, with nine in total. These are said to include the same Doctor Strange from 76205 Gargantos Showdown, Karl Mordo from the alternate universe seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with a new hair piece. Promobricks also mentions that this element could be used in the Avatar sets, though that’s likely just speculation.

Also representing the latest Marvel movie is rumoured to be the Scarlet Witch, differing from her Collectible Minifigures appearance with no shown skin, unprinted arms and legs and no fabric elements. However, she is reported to include a print on the tiara, using the same element as in 71031 Marvel Studios.

Following rumours that this potential set could cover more than one film, minifigures representing Infinity War are said to include a new Wong, Ebony Maw, Iron Man Mark 50 and Spider-Man.

No official confirmation of this set has been announced just yet, though a new Marvel model will be showcased at LEGO CON one week from today, June 18, 2022. Until then, take any rumours with appropriate caution, but we can at least expect a few reveals from Marvel and more at the brick-based event.
