After Deadline reported that the director of Deadpool 3 and executive producer for Stranger Things was in talks to direct an upcoming Star Wars movie, Shawn Levy has reacted to the rumour.

The cinematic projects in a galaxy far, far away have been quiet since the release of The Rise of Skywalker with Star Wars instead focused on Disney+ and its streaming efforts. However, there are a few movies currently in development, though with no solid release date or details. Provided they make it to the big screen, LEGO Star Wars models based on them seem likely given the theme’s history.
In the meantime, Levy’s work continues with Deadpool 3 in 2024 and he will also be involved in the fifth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things.
