Six of the best picks for the new LEGO Classic Space gift-with-purchase

A brand new LEGO Classic Space gift-with-purchase is now available, and some sets can qualify for it without going too much over the threshold.

40712 Micro Rocket Launchpad is available now for LEGO Insiders until February 18 with purchases of £180 / $200 / €200 before it is available for everyone until February 25. It’s unfortunately leaving just before the many March 2024 models launch, including the debut of LEGO Animal Crossing but there is far from a shortage of options to qualify for the set.

Here are six of the best LEGO sets that qualify for the gift-with-purchase without going too high over the threshold, including some sets that we can provide full reviews of.

42159 Yamaha MT-10 SP

Price: £199.99 / $239.99 / €229.99 Pieces: 1,478

At £199.99 / $239.99 / €229.99, 42159 Yamaha MT-10 SP isn’t massively over the qualifying threshold for 40712 Micro Rocket Launchpad. This LEGO Technic set depicts the high-speed bike at a level of detail that few other LEGO Technic motorcycles have achieved and it has an especially ingenious mechanism for changing gears. 21332 The Globe

Price: £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99 Pieces: 2,585

LEGO Ideas 21332 The Globe pairs interestingly with 40712 Micro Rocket Launchpad as the small Classic Space figures are closer in scale to the earth of a standard minifigure and you could set up a small, but still far too big, base somewhere on Earth. Our review is available to read by clicking here.

21341 Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage

Price: £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99 Pieces: 2,316

21341 Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage offers some interesting and exclusive minifigures based on the Disney movie as well as a building that could sit alongside the likes of 21325 Medieval Blacksmith in your collection as mentioned in our review. At £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99, the model qualifies for the current gift-with-purchase without going too high over the threshold.

10297 Boutique Hotel

Price: £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99 Pieces: 3,066

Expand your modular street with one of the oldest currently available LEGO modular buildings and score the free Classic Space at the same time. 10297 Boutique Hotel includes over 3,000 pieces and is the same price as many other entries of this list for double the elements in some cases. It’s on back order in the US at the time of writing but it will still qualify for the promotion. Our in-depth review can be read by clicking here.

42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance

Price: £189.99 / $219.99 / €219.99 Pieces: 1,642

LEGO Technic 42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance isn’t available just yet but pre-orders are open for the £189.99 / $219.99 / €219.99 set in the UK and Europe. Those in qualifying regions can pre-order the model and score 40712 Micro Rocket Launchpad at the same time.

10320 Eldorado Fortress

Price: £189.99 / $214.99 / €214.99 Pieces: 2,509

10320 Eldorado Fortress is currently scheduled to retire at the end of 2024 but there’s still time to pick up the nostalgic LEGO Pirates set and score a free 40712 Micro Rocket Launchpad too. As mentioned in our review, the build focuses on nostalgia with some desirable minifigures.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
