Six LEGO Winter Village sets we hope the rumoured 2026 build could be

A 1,354-piece LEGO Winter Village set is rumoured to arrive in October, but with no details currently available, all we can do is speculate about what we would love to see.

Over the past two decades, the seasonal Winter Village collection has become a cornerstone of the LEGO collecting community. Even with so many iconic locations already covered, there are still plenty of opportunities to expand the snowy theme with new buildings, settings and ideas.

Last year’s 10361 Holiday Express Train was the smallest Winter Village set since 2017, but this year’s rumoured piece count is nearly 400 pieces higher. With those extra pieces supposedly available, there is plenty of potential for a larger and more ambitious addition to the collection.

Of course, everything below is completely speculative, but here are six Winter Village sets we would love to see.

Winter Village Church

After nearly two decades, the Winter Village collection still lacks one of the most iconic Christmas landmarks: a snowy village church.

For years, the LEGO Group avoided religious buildings, but sets such as 21061 Notre-Dame de Paris and the upcoming 21065 Sagrada Família suggest that approach may have changed.

A winter church would be a perfect fit for the collection, featuring details such as a stained-glass window, bell tower, Christmas decorations and minifigures attending a festive service.

Christmas Tree Farm

Every Winter Village set has featured a Christmas tree, but that raises an important question: where does everyone get them?

A Christmas tree farm would be a natural addition, featuring rows of snow-covered pine trees, a tree-cutting area, a small farmhouse, a tractor or cart and a shop selling freshly cut trees.

It would also provide a perfect way to expand the outskirts of the Winter Village beyond the traditional town centre.

Winter Village Ski Resort / Mountain Lodge

In 2023, 10325 Alpine Lodge introduced a mountain setting to the Winter Village collection, but the location has yet to be expanded.

A ski resort could build on that idea with a ski rental hut, cable car or ski lift, and a snowy mountain slope. While the rumoured piece count would likely require the model to remain relatively compact, a winter sports location would add a new environment while fitting naturally into the collection.

Winter Village School

The Winter Village already has homes, shops, emergency services and transport, but one question remains: where do the village’s children actually go to school?

A snowy schoolhouse could include decorated classrooms, Christmas displays, a snow-covered playground and a selection of child minifigures. It would also pair perfectly with sets such as 10293 Santa’s Visit.

Winter Village Train Station 2.0

The collection has already featured 10254 Winter Holiday Train and 10361 Holiday Express Train, but both are expected to pass through the existing 10259 Winter Village Station.

The village would benefit massively from a second, updated station that gives the trains somewhere new and unique to arrive and depart from.

A larger station could introduce new architectural details while providing a better centrepiece for the collection’s growing transport network.

Christmas Market Expansion

Thirteen years ago, 10235 Winter Village Market introduced a small festive marketplace, although much of the set was dedicated to the carousel ride rather than the market itself.

A fully expanded Christmas market could bring something new to the collection, with features such as a hot chocolate stand, ice sculpture display, Christmas tree seller and traditional European market stalls.

It would fit perfectly alongside existing Winter Village buildings while adding more of the festive atmosphere that makes Christmas markets so popular around the world.

Of course, October’s reported Winter Village set is only a rumour for now, and nothing is confirmed until the LEGO Group officially reveals it. But if it does arrive, hopefully it is just as exciting – if not better – than these ideas.
