Solo: A Star Wars Story in UK cinemas now
The latest film in the Star Wars franchise, Solo: A Star Wars Story, is released in cinemas across the UK today.
When Disney acquired Star Wars, as well as a continuation of the episodic saga, the company announced a new slate of ‘stand-alone’ films. Solo: A Star Wars Story is the second of those, following 2016’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. For the first time since the acquisition, a Star Wars film is being released in the traditional May slot.
The new film has been directed by Ron Howard from a script by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan. Alden Ehrenreich takes on the role of Han Solo, with Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Emilia Clarke as new character Qi’Ra. The plot will focus on a heist that will lead to several pivotal moments in Han Solo’s life.
To celebrate the launch of the film, a range of tie-in LEGO sets are [geot exclude_country=”United States”]available now[/geot][geot country=”United States”]available now[/geot].
