Split-screen is coming to LEGO Fortnite in time for the holidays
Local multiplayer mode in LEGO Fortnite is about to get easier, with split-screen functionality on its way in the coming weeks.
PlayStation and Xbox users will be able to play LEGO Fortnite with split-screen, making it easier to use local multiplayer options. LEGO Fortnite announced the upcoming addition, to general excitement among the community on X.
“This is an AWESOME addition!” wrote @CraftyPlaysLF, echoed by @ObamasGucciBelt writing: “I’m so happy about this! Was shocked that it wasn’t split screen from the start. Thank you so much!!” Plenty of other X users also started calling for the function to also come to PC and Switch, but there’s no news of it coming to other devices other than PlayStation and Xbox as it stands.
The feature is set to launch next month, ahead of American Thanksgiving and the holiday season in many countries around the world, when families will be gathering together. It’s great timing for people to be able to play side by side and look at the same screen, rather than everyone needing access to their own device.
Next month will also see the release of the physical LEGO Fortnite sets, coming out on October 1 and available to pre-order now. If you want to take the LEGO Fortnite fun off-screen, click through the pre-order links below.
