Star Wars: Ahsoka confirmed to arrive on Disney+ on August 23

The next live-action Star Wars TV show now has a confirmed release date, with Star Wars: Ahsoka arriving on Disney+ on August 23.

With the recent conclusion of Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 and fans uncertain of the show’s future, all eyes are now turning to what’s next for a galaxy far, far away. The good news is that we won’t have long to wait and find out, with official social media platforms confirming when the next Star Wars series will be coming to Disney+.

It’s now been revealed that Star Wars: Ahsoka will debut on August 23, 2023, with Rosario Dawson returning as the former Jedi padawan, joined by live-action versions of Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, Grand Admiral Thrawn and others. The show will consist of eight episodes and the announcement has been accompanied by a new TV spot that features previously-unseen footage.

Current rumours suggest that at least three LEGO Star Wars models based on the Disney+ show may be on their way later this year, although that remains speculation for now. Empire magazine recently released a first image of a mysterious Inquisitor character holding a double-bladed lightsaber, with some reports suggesting a minifigure of the same villain could potentially appear in at least one of the upcoming rumoured sets, 75362 Ahsoka’s T-6 Shuttle.
