Star Wars Celebration Japan celebrates launch of LEGO K-2SO with lifesize build

Star Wars Celebration Japan saw the announcement of the 845-piece LEGO Star Wars 75434 K-2SO – as well as a life-sized brick-built model.

Those attending Star Wars Celebration Japan this weekend can take their pictures next to a towering 1:1 LEGO replica of the newly-revealed brick-built droid. Standing more than eight feet tall and weighing 105kg (233 pounds), the 1:1 K-2SO build took 182 hours to construct and is made up of 50,067 LEGO bricks.

With the LEGO Group confirmed as an exhibitor, there could be more LEGO-based announcements, designer insights, and more to unpack throughout the weekend. From there, you’ll also be able to enter giveaways, ask questions to designers, and more.
