Star Wars Celebration will return even sooner in 2022

Star Wars Celebration’s 2022 dates have been moved, meaning fans can expect to return to the event and whatever LEGO reveals might accompany it even sooner.

The LEGO Group and Star Wars have always mixed well, and the fan event dedicated to a galaxy far, far away is no different. We’ve seen reveals for sets such as 75244 Tantive IV and sneak peeks at upcoming projects in the franchise in past years.

After a cancellation in both 2020 and 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic and worries about health and safety. The event will be returning next year with new, closer dates now announced.

Whilst before, Star Wars Celebration was due to be held August 18–21, that timeframe has now shifted to May 26–29 2022. However, the event will still be held in Anaheim just as was planned in 2020. Those with tickets for the old dates will have them automatically transferred and confirmed via email in the coming months.

The event has also seen the release of exclusive LEGO Star Wars sets in the past, such as 75227 Darth Vader Bust and the more recent 75294 Bespin Duel. The latter was intended for release at the 2020 Star Wars Celebration, so we’ll have to see if more copies are made or if another model is designed for the 2022 version.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
