Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 trailer reveals Disney+ release date

Following an initial teaser, the first full trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 has revealed when the Disney+ show will be returning.

The adventures of Clone Force 99 are set to continue next year, when Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 debuts on Disney+ from January 4, 2023. With less than a month until the second series drops on the streaming service, a first full length trailer has now arrived, giving fans more details on what to expect when the show returns.

As well as the main cast of clones, plus Omega, Captain Rex and Crosshair, Season 2 also looks set to feature plenty of other familiar faces from a galaxy far, far away. We get more footage of Emperor Palpatine, Wookiee Jedi Youngling Gungi and Commander Cody, plus a first glimpse at Bail Organa and new characters such as Vice Admiral Rampart and Phee Genoa.

In addition, the action-packed trailer features myriad new creatures, droids, locations and vehicles, many of which would be ripe for transformation into LEGO Star Wars models. Only two sets based on the animated Disney+ show have been released so far, 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle and 75323 The Justifier. The latter is also the first LEGO Star Wars set to include a minifigure of Omega, although the character’s helmeted appearance in the trailer gives us hope that a new version might arrive at some point. However, that’s pure speculation on our part and there have been no official announcements from the LEGO Group so far regarding any additional products based on the show.
