Testers wanted for secret new digital LEGO experience

The LEGO Group is looking for testers to try out a secret new digital experience featuring games, characters and challenges.

If you have younger LEGO fans in your house and have access to an iOS device, then the LEGO Group could be looking for your help. The official site wants to find testers for a brand-new LEGO experience that will be packed with games, digital brick building, social features and much more.

Codenamed ‘LEGO Metro’, the app will only be available for testing on iOS devices for now and those who are interested can sign up at the official site here. Upon accepting an email invitation, user’s will be required to download the TestFlight app to their device in order to try out the pre-release LEGO experience.

The site states that the currently in-development app will be a place for kids to ‘share their creations, express themselves, connect with other LEGO fans their age – and explore a fun interactive universe of LEGO fun!’

Parents will need to sign up for the experience on behalf of their child and use of the app will be tracked to help improve the software’s development. From the images shown on the official site, it appears that a user’s LEGO.com avatar can participate in games, challenges and build virtual brick-based creations.

There’s no word yet as to how long the testing process will last or what the final release-ready software will be called, but if that sounds like your sort of thing, just pop over to the official suite now to register for LEGO Metro.
