LEGO Star Wars 75419 Death Star is rife with Easter eggs, including an incredibly clever touch paying tribute to the second season of Andor.
The reveal of LEGO Star Wars 75419 Death Star has caused a stir online due to its size and price. Still, the massive scale of this model at least presents a major opportunity to include numerous references, including to some of the most recent Star Wars projects. Note that we're about to discuss spoilers for the second season of Andor, streaming now on Disney+.
One such Easter egg is in the superlaser build, featuring a familiar assembly that you might recognise from the second season of Andor. You might recall the parts the prisoners of Narkina 5 built, seen slotting into place on the first Death Star in the season's post-credit scene. That same part is included on the tip of the superlaser in the control room, tying 75419 Death Star into the LEGO Andor sets more than just the exclusive Galen Erso minifigure does.
“I don’t know if anybody caught it, it’s on the superlaser part," explained 75419 Death Star’s designer, César Soares, in a recent roundtable interview with Brick Fanatics and other LEGO fan media.
"It’s what they build in Andor, at the prison, that goes on the superlaser later. It’s a very obscure Easter egg, so I hope that some people will decode it, at least. Otherwise, it will be a fail.”
It's a clever way to incorporate the part, which appears to be part of the dish itself, in the second season of Andor. The scale of 75419 Death Star means that it would have appeared too small to be recognisable as part of the dish build, better placed in the control room itself to add an extra tragic touch to Cassian Andor's fight against the Empire.
This is far from the only Easter egg in 75419 Death Star, and you can take a closer look at the contents of the set in our thorough review. Some of the highlights include a hot tub for the titular Stormtrooper with a rubber duck, various posters paying tribute to Darth Vader's past (including a reference to the LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation special), and an advert for Stormtrooper aim training. There's much more to discover in the huge 75419 Death Star, though.
Galen Erso is the other Andor / Rogue One Easter egg in 75419 Death Star, and he comes with a printed copy of the Death Star plans for you to deliver to the rebellion directly. When combined with the Death Star part, there's a lot for Andor fans to enjoy in the huge LEGO Star Wars set.
75419 Death Star launches October 1, 2025 for LEGO Insiders and from October 4 for everyone else for a record-breaking £899.99 / $999.99 / €999.99. LEGO Insiders ordering between October 1 and 8 will receive a free
