The Art of the Brick arrives in Denver

Denver, Colorado is the latest location to host LEGO Certified Professional Nathan Sawaya’s Art of the Brick exhibition.

Art of the Brick is one of the longest touring LEGO shows in the world, arriving now at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science in Denver, Colorado, USA. It features the work of LEGO Certified Professional (LCP) Nathan Sawaya, with more than 100 LEGO models making up the exhibition.

The recognisable Yellow is the best known creation in the gallery, which sees a life-size sculpture of a man opening his chest, with thousands of yellow LEGO bricks cascading out of the cavity.

“The Art of the Brick exhibition is an exciting blend of fine art, math, science, and engineering,” says Palaeontologist and Exhibition Curatorial Advisor Ian Miller. “I played with LEGO bricks all the time growing up, and I wish I had been exposed to the artistic depth that LEGO bricks offer when I was building my castle sets as a kid.”
