The full list of LEGO Harry Potter sets retiring in 2021 and beyond

A handful of LEGO Harry Potter sets will retire from production in 2021, so here’s what you should be casting ‘accio’ on before the year’s out.

According to Brick Fanatics’ sources, the first two entries in the modular Hogwarts Castle will both be gone from shelves by the end of this year. 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall and 75953 Hogwarts Whomping Willow have both enjoyed very good runs, though, having originally launched as part of the first Wizarding World wave in summer 2018.

Three years is a great innings for any regular LEGO set, which means you’ve hopefully had time to pick up both sets already – but if not, you’ll want to make a beeline for them as soon as possible. 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall is the one to prioritise first, as that’s reportedly due to retire by the end of July, while 75953 Hogwarts Whomping Willow will hang around until the end of December.

A couple of 2020 sets are also on the chopping block this year – as are two 2021 sets, surprisingly. Here’s everything on the way out within the next nine months:

July 2021

75954 Hogwarts Great Hall

December 2021

40419 Hogwarts Students Accessory Set
75947 Hagrid’s Hut: Buckbeak’s Rescue
75953 Hogwarts Whomping Willow
75966 Hogwarts Room of Requirement
75967 Forbidden Forest: Umbridge’s Encounter
76384 Hogwarts Moment: Herbology Class
76385 Hogwarts Moment: Charms Class

You’ve got a little longer to pick up the rest of the current Harry Potter batch, including: the other two Hogwarts Moment sets; 2018’s enormous, microscale 71043 Hogwarts Castle; and another 2018 mainstay, 75955 Hogwarts Express – which suggests we won’t be seeing a redesigned magical train any time soon.

Here’s the current retirement schedule for LEGO Harry Potter into 2022 and beyond:

December 2022

71043 Hogwarts Castle
75948 Hogwarts Clock Tower
75955 Hogwarts Express
75979 Hedwig
75980 Attack on the Burrow
76382 Hogwarts Moment: Transfiguration Class
76383 Hogwarts Moment: Potions Class

December 2023

31201 Harry Potter Hogwarts Crests
75968 4 Privet Drive
75969 Hogwarts Astronomy Tower

December 2024

75978 Diagon Alley

As always, bear in mind that these dates aren’t entirely set in stone, and the LEGO Group may change them in due course. For now, though, this list will hopefully come in handy when planning out your purchases for the rest of 2021.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
