The LEGO Group launches BrickHeadz Builder AR app

Continuing to offer a broad range of digital experiences, the LEGO BrickHeadz Builder app has launched.

The LEGO Group has announced a new app, [geot exclude_country=”United States”]LEGO BrickHeadz[/geot][geot country=”United States”]LEGO BrickHeadz[/geot] Builder, to allow fans to build a character with digital pieces and then bring their creations to life. Using the BrickHeadz template, the app promises to offer different levels of challenge for different users, from guided building to pure creativity.

“We are constantly looking at fun ways to enhance the physical LEGO play experience by blending it with digital LEGO play,” said Sean McEvoy, VP, Digital Games and Apps. “The new app is a miniature augmented reality creative ‘sandbox’ that aims to introduce children to various steps of creative play, by adding layers of digital creativity, mixed with assisted building and cleverly constrained limits, which allows children to discover digital building and personalize their builds.”

As well as selecting the look of unique LEGO BrickHeadz characters, users will be able to tweak the behaviour of their characters.
