Three new LEGO Spider-Man 2023 sets officially revealed

The LEGO Group has revealed three new LEGO Spider-Man sets landing on shelves in 2023, all anchored around the Spidey and His Amazing Friends TV series.

Featuring a mix of new and returning characters, these 4+ sets are targeted first and foremost at junior builders – but their minifigures may at least be of interest to older fans, with new designs for iconic Marvel characters like Miles Morales, Black Panther and Sandman. Doc Ock, Rhino and Green Goblin are also returning from last year’s Spider-Man sets, with Doc Ock now available at a much cheaper price point.

Check out all three new sets below. These are the first products confirmed for release in March 2023, two months after the other LEGO Marvel sets already revealed for next year.

10789 Spider-Man’s Car and Doc Ock

Price: £8.99 / $TBC / €9.99 Pieces: 48 Minifigures: 2 Release date: March 1, 2023

Featuring a new design for Spider-Man and one of the LEGO Group’s grooviest Doc Ock minifigures, this 48-piece set gives the wall-crawler a way to patrol the streets that doesn’t require web fluid. Not that fuel is any cheaper at the minute, of course. Maybe it’s an electric car?

10790 Team Spidey at Green Goblin’s Lighthouse

Price: £29.99 / $TBC / €34.99 Pieces: 149 Minifigures: 4 Release date: March 1, 2023

The LEGO Group loves lighthouses almost as much as it loves Spider-Man, so this set feels like the perfect coming together of corporate interests. Alongside the eponymous Green Goblin, it includes new minifigures for Miles Morales and Sandman, alongside Ghost Spider (referred to in the product description as ‘Ghosty’. Cute).

10791 Team Spidey’s Mobile Headquarters

Price: £44.99 / $TBC / €49.99 Pieces: 187 Minifigures: 5 Release date: March 1, 2023

Not content with just a car to zoom around NYC in, Spider-Man now has an entire tour bus. He calls it a mobile headquarters, but that’s not the vibe we’re getting. Either way, the biggest set of this wave teams Peter Parker up with Miles Morales, Ghost Spider and Black Panther to take down Rhino. Talk about a one-sided fight.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
