Trump memorabilia retailer offers “Build the wall” construction toy

A “Build the wall” Donald Trump construction toy has made headlines.

Something that should clearly remain as a joke has been turned into an actual retail product. A “Build the wall” construction kit comes with a President Trump figure, and is available to purchase from Keep and Bear, a website that sells Trump merchandise. The box is branded with MAGA, an acronym for Make America Great Again – Trump’s infamous campaign slogan.

News outlets have picked up on the building block product that lacks the finessed design of a LEGO set. The bricks inside build a wall, a reference to Trump’s memorable campaign promise to build a border wall between the USA and Mexico, insisting that Mexico would fund it. Two years into the Trump presidency, that has not transpired. WTHR and Fox News are two of the news outlets reporting on the unusual product.

“The wall must be built,” the text accompanying the product says. “The wall will keep America safe and strong. Only then will we be able to help those in need.”
