Voting closes for LEGO Ideas Dungeons & Dragons project art

Voting has now officially closed for the design that will be used on the cover of the LEGO Ideas project Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End.

While we don’t know which of the three designs was chosen just yet, it’s clear that there’s been a lot of interest in the competition. The voting for the new Dungeons and Dragons set was open for just one week, so fans had to make up their minds quickly about which design they wanted to see on the building instructions cover for the LEGO Ideas approved project Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End.

According to the recently shared blog post on LEGO Ideas, we won’t hear the final announcement about which design won until July, and until then the original artist of the winning illustration will be working with the LEGO Group to ensure that the cover art is entirely ready for the set.

The Dungeons and Dragons cover design competition began back in April, and was used to give one talented artist the chance to create the illustration that would be used for the building instructions of the new future LEGO Ideas Dungeons and Dragons set. The winning project, designed by LEGO Ideas user BoltBuilds, will be created into a LEGO set that will celebrate 50 years of Dungeons and Dragons.

We don’t yet know when the Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End project will be officially announced as a set, let alone released to the public, but we do at least know that the suspense about the building instructions art will ease in just a few months.
