WATCH: This Wallace and Gromit LEGO Ideas project is crackers

The latest LEGO Ideas project to hit the magic 10K mark celebrates the animated series that put man and dog on the (very cheesy) moon.

LEGO fans of a certain vintage (and from a certain part of the world) will have fond memories of Aardman Animations’ stop-motion classic Wallace and Gromit, and one LEGO Ideas user is hoping that will be enough to translate into demand for an official LEGO set. Is it a crackers idea, or will their status as international cultural icons be enough to sway the review board?

We won’t find out for a while yet, but our latest YouTube video at least offers a closer look at the concept model. If it gets the green light to go into production, this will serve as the basis for the official set (although some changes along the way are pretty much guaranteed). Hit play below to take a peek, and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more daily content.

If you’re in that sweet spot of just old enough to remember Wallace and Gromit but just young enough to get away with using TikTok – say, 25 to 30 years old – you’ll also find us over where vertical video comes to life.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
