The LEGO Group has shared two videos of its new Classic Space-themed pinball machine in action, demonstrating its fully-functioning playfield.
11374 Arcade Pinball Machine launches in July and brings to shelves the first working LEGO pinball machine – or at least it does on paper. For proof of concept, the LEGO Group has published a couple of videos demonstrating the Classic Space-themed model in action.
First up is this straightforward feature from LEGO.com, which rattles through the set’s dual flippers, spring-powered launcher, ramp, asteroid target and progress bar. The aim of the game is to strike the asteroid and propel the Classic Space astronaut closer towards the space baby, ultimately reuniting the light blue pair.
There’s some jaunty retro arcade music behind that video too, but if you want something to really get you in the ‘80s spirit – and back to the days of hammering away at pinball tables in person, under the hazy neon lights of your local arcade – check out this fun promo video from the official LEGO socials…
All that remains to be seen now is how well 11374 Arcade Pinball Machine’s functionality holds up in person. Check out the links below for more on the latest LEGO Icons set, which debuts July 1 for £189.99 / $229.99 / €209.99.
