WATCH: Something’s missing from LEGO ICONS 10497 Galaxy Explorer

Sit down and watch our latest YouTube and TikTok short as we discover what’s missing from the upcoming LEGO ICONS 10497 Galaxy Explorer.

LEGO ICONS 10497 Galaxy Explorer takes us back to the glory days of Classic Space, featuring a modernised version of an iconic model from LEGO history. However, as designer Mike Psiaki explained to Brickset, it’s missing something compared to 497 Galaxy Explorer – which you can learn by watching our latest YouTube and TikTok short.

While 10497 Galaxy Explorer doesn’t launch for over a month, you can watch our new video now on YouTube and subscribe for more brick-based content.

Those of you who prefer TikTok can watch the same video exploring the missing detail in 10497 Galaxy Explorer. Just click on the embedded video below and make sure to follow us on TikTok for more posts in the future.

Once you’ve watched one, or both, of our videos you can pre-order 10497 Galaxy Explorer ahead of its launch on August 1 in the US with double VIP points until June 30. Anyone in another region can look forward to picking up the nostalgic set on the same day.

10497 Galaxy Explorer recreates the ship from the 1979 set of the same name, keeping the classic and memorable details such as the two windshields, spoiler, a pair of detaching rockets and a rover.
