WATCH: Five LEGO Ideas sets are retiring in 2022

As the year starts to come to an end, we’re starting to get a look at what LEGO models will retire when 2022 is through, including five LEGO Ideas sets.

With new LEGO sets launching in 2023, the LEGO Group has to make room by retiring a selection of older models, ending their production for good. The list of models retiring in 2022 covers just about every LEGO theme currently available. LEGO Ideas will be waving goodbye to five models at the end of the year, as we discuss in our latest YouTube and TikTok video.

The lineup of retiring LEGO Ideas sets in 2022 includes 21319 Central Perk, 21321 International Space Station, 92176 NASA Apollo Saturn V, 21324 123 Sesame Street and 21328 Seinfeld.

These retirements don’t mean the end of LEGO Friends (the sitcom, not the in-house theme) though as 10292 The Friends Apartments will be available for a bit longer. These retiring models represent several properties that are unlikely to be represented in bricks again, including 21324 123 Sesame Street.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
