What exactly does one million LEGO VIP points get you?

With one million points up for grabs in a LEGO VIP competition this weekend, what does that actually mean in terms of cold, hard cash?

This weekend there are a number of offers available to members of the LEGO VIP programme, from exclusive sets to blueprints of the opinion-dividing new Hulkbuster set. One that catches the eye is the chance to win (adopts Dr. Evil voice) “One Million VIP points!” You can find more information on the official LEGO site.

There’s a strange relationship between money spent, points earned, and what those points are then worth in terms of cash again. Most people just check their points balance occasionally and don’t think too hard about it. But a million points? That’s got to be worth something substantial, right?

Well, yes. In the UK, 1m VIP points is the equivalent of £6,250. In the US it works out at $7,692 and in Europe it’s €6.687. A tidy sum, whichever currency you’re working in. It would get you eight 75192 Millennium Falcons with a few hundred pounds / dollars / euros left over. Alternatively, you could pick up around 1,790 of the Series 23 Collectible Minifigures. You’re sure to get a complete set with that many.

It appears that the draw will be free to enter, unlike some of the other VIP weekend offers which require a points spend, so assuming you’re a member of the VIP programme, there’s no reason not to enter. Other than ‘it makes it less likely that we’ll win’. You won’t have long to wait to enter though, as the offers all go live on November 19th.

If you don’t win, then maybe you could drown your sorrows by treating yourself to a new LEGO set. Please consider using the Brick Fanatics affiliate links, as they help to support the site. Thanks.

But is it possible to use more than one vip voucher per purchase? Otherwise you’ll only be able to get money off of purchases not make them free

found this on the lego site: You can add more than one discount code to an order as long as the total discounted amount is less than your subtotal. So you can buy a set of $800 for 410 in theory and save half the money
