When LEGO is somehow creepy, cute and movie-accurate
No LEGO set can be all things to all people, but the latest LEGO Star Wars set to be revealed is somehow simultaneously creepy, cute and movie-accurate.
Those adjectives could only ever describe 75430 Wicket the Ewok, the final LEGO Star Wars August 2025 set and the fifth buildable character from a galaxy far, far away this year alone. Revealed overnight, this 1,010-piece brick-built teddy bear doesn’t quite occupy the same uncanny valley as 2023’s 75371 Chewbacca, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect, either.
But let’s face it: what you really want to know about 75430 Wicket the Ewok is the surprising history behind this Star Wars character and the actor who played him, and how only a series of unfortunate events (or fortunate, from Warwick Davis’s perspective) led to him getting the amount of screen time that he enjoyed in Return of the Jedi.
So it’s back over to Matthew for the final entry in this week’s trilogy of LEGO Star Wars history lessons. Check out the latest instalment in this miniseries below, and don’t forget to catch up on our deep dives into Asajj Ventress and Aayla Secura if you haven’t already.
75430 Wicket the Ewok debuts August 1 for £109.99 / $129.99 / €119.99. Head here to check out more images of this furry little guy.
