Will 2023 be the year we finally get a second Bill Murray LEGO minifigure?

Current Ant-Man 3 movie rumours suggest that 2023 might be the year that we finally get a second Bill Murray LEGO minifigure character.

Legendary Ghostbusters actor Bill Murray recently confirmed in an interview on The Eli Manning Show that he will be playing a ‘bad guy’ in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, currently set for release on July 28, 2023. The mysterious character Murray might be playing also has the potential to be only the second ever Bill Murray LEGO minifigure character.

Although more details weren’t forthcoming in the interview on exactly who Murray’s character is, additional rumours reported by The Illuminerdi have suggested who it might be. The site reports that Murray will appear in the upcoming MCU film as an obscure, green-skinned Marvel Comics’ alien named Krylar.

The little-known character first appeared in Incredible Hulk # 156 and was a K’aitian scientist from the planet K’ai in the Microverse. Krylar aided The Hulk in a battle against a doppelganger Hulk but was later killed. The character also briefly appeared in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. live-action series, currently available to stream on Disney+.

If the rumours are true, then it’s possible that Krylar could also appear as a minifigure in potential LEGO Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania sets. This would make it only the second time that Murray has been immortalised in minifigure form, as he has previously appeared as Ghostbuster Peter Venkman in a number of LEGO sets and video games.

As always, take this Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania movie rumour with a pinch of salt until it’s confirmed by Marvel Studios.
