75329 Death Star Trench Run Diorama is one of several LEGO sets squarely aimed at the older LEGO fan. It recreates a section of the Death Star trench, which Luke Skywalker flies down to blow up the Imperial battle station. A heavily detailed chunk of the trench is modelled here, as is a tiny model of Luke Skywalker’s X-wing starfighter. It even comes with a tiny R2-D2, whose head is printed on a round tile.

Naturally, such a scene wouldn’t be complete without Imperial forces. Two TIE fighters and Darth Vader’s experimental TIE fighter are modelled here, with green elements used to mimic laser shots. Transparent elements allow the ships to ‘fly’ above the scenery.
