10307 Eiffel Tower is the same scale as another Gustav Eiffel LEGO set

LEGO Icons 10307 Eiffel Tower is the same scale as a LEGO Architecture set as a reference to the landmark’s engineer and another of his projects.

LEGO designer Rok Žgalin Kobe has revealed that 10307 Eiffel Tower is coincidentally the same scale as one of the entries in the LEGO Architecture range, another build inspired by the work of Gustave Eiffel.

“It’s technically an Icons set even though it’s of an architecture piece but it’s not under the Architecture branding, but funny enough it is in scale with previous Architecture sets as it’s the second set that has Gustave Eiffel as a designer,” explains Rok Žgalin Kobe to New Elementary.

That set Rok is referring to is 21042 Statue of Liberty, with the landmark it is based on featuring a steel structure by Gustave Eiffel too. As the designer suggests, you could put the LEGO Architecture model next to 10307 Eiffel Tower as a tribute to the engineer and since they are the same scale – roughly 1:200.

Rok also points out that the similarly massive, though in length more than height, 10294 Titanic is close to this scale too, in case you have a colossal amount of room to spare and a big budget to spend. It is clarified in the interview that this is just a coincidence.

Whether you want one of these sets, two or all three, 21042 Statue of Liberty and 10294 Titanic are out now though the latter is temporarily out of stock. 10307 Eiffel Tower is out starting from November 25 for £589.99 / $679.99 / €679.99.
