LEGO Super Mario 71423 Dry Bowser Castle Battle revealed for MAR10 Day

It’s March 10, 2023, also known as MAR10 Day and LEGO Super Mario is getting 71423 Dry Bowser Castle Battle to celebrate.

The LEGO Group’s MAR10 day stream has finished and it has revealed a huge new model coming to the theme later this year. Thankfully, it has also landed on LEGO.com, confirming the price, piece count, and release date as well as revealing a secret.

This set is the first to feature Dry Bowser, debuting the villain in the world of LEGO Super Mario. Otherwise, it includes a Bone Piranha Plant, Bone Goomba, a Magmaargh and a Purple Toad. As with all expansions, an interactive figure is not included so you’ll need one of the three starter courses to play.

Though the team was hesitant to share more during the stream, 71423 Dry Bowser Castle Battle has a secret at the back of the build that can be unlocked with a key scanned elsewhere in the build.

Thankfully, the official images on the online store reveal exactly what this secret is – a plan to attack Peach’s castle with miniature models too.

71423 Dry Bowser Castle Battle is launching on August 1, 2023, for £94.99 / $109.99 / €104.99 with 1,321 pieces.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
