LEGO Marvel 76253 Guardians of the Galaxy Headquarters has a meta reference

The smallest LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 set has an especially meta reference for eagle-eyed Marvel Studios enthusiasts to spot.

The logo for the third Guardians of the Galaxy film appears in 76253 Guardians of the Galaxy Headquarters, but not quite in the way you might expect. Featured on the right of the small model, a sign written in an alien language is subtitled beneath and translated into ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.

Since this is the headquarters, or a section of it, for the team it seems likely that this is advertising the location to minifigures walking by. However, the shape of this sign is the same shape and colour as the main logo for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Looking at the trailers for the film, before the logo is showcased it flickers from this alien language, confirming this as a meta reference in 76253 Guardians of the Galaxy Headquarters, just without the ‘Volume 3’.
