LEGO Harry Potter 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition has a downgraded minifigure

It’s not all good news in LEGO Harry Potter 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition as one of the minifigures has been downgraded since its last appearance.

Luna Lovegood is one of 20 minifigures in 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition, which was revealed via a shipping error, wearing an iconic outfit from the franchise but one that we’ve seen before in LEGO Harry Potter

As part of the 71022 Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts LEGO Collectible Minifigures, Luna Lovegood in her pink jacket and the patterned skirt were included, with the skirt being an additional fabric element. Now, in 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition, this outfit has appeared again in a new minifigure.

However, it’s missing the fabric element from the Collectible Minifigure, with the skirt instead being printed on the legs. Unfortunately, the printing leaves a small blue gap on the edge of the legs making it a less accurate design than that of the original minifigure.

Considering the size and rumoured price of €499.99, the return of the fabric would have been greatly appreciated in 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition. Without it though, you’ll still find exclusive minifigures based on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and the most detailed depiction of the Hogwarts Express in LEGO Harry Potter yet.

This situation is similar to the Scarlet Witch minifigure in 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, which also has a much more detailed minifigure before its release as part of 71031 Marvel Studios – another LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series.
