LEGO 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 visual tour and gallery

LEGO 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 is officially bringing Hyrule to life in LEGO with new minifigures and more to discover.

The LEGO Group and Nintendo’s partnership is officially bringing us the first-ever The Legend of Zelda set. 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 pays tribute to both Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild in a rebuildable model that joins the likes of Super Mario, Animal Crossing and Mario Kart next year in the LEGO portfolio.

While we wait for the set’s release on September 1 for £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99, we’re diving into the official images in our latest visual guide, touring through Great Hyrule Forest or Kokiri Forest (depending on the game) as we explore 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1.

LEGO 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 builds

It’s not often that LEGO sets with an 18+ age demographic are rebuildable but for 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1, it makes sense. The Deku Tree is an iconic character that has appeared in several The Legend of Zelda games. Rather than just being based on Breath of the Wild, you can instead use the provided elements in 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 to create an Ocarina of Time model.

Both come with a side build, though you might not be able to spot it on the Breath of the Wild version, and a pair of minifigures as well as a unique play feature and more references but you can only display version one at a time.

LEGO 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 minifigures

The first LEGO The Legend of Zelda set is following in LEGO Animal Crossing’s footsteps rather than LEGO Super Mario’s with four minifigures to collect and display. From Breath of the Wild, there’s Zelda and Link in their signature blue attire and two unique hair pieces.

From Ocarina of Time, minifigures of a younger and older Link are included with a new hair and hat element shared between them. All four minifigures have dual-moulded legs and arms as well as some unique accessories – including a new piece for the Master Sword and Hylian Shield.

LEGO 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 features

There are two main play features in 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1, one for each version of the model. The Breath of the Wild build has a moving expression for the Deku Tree as well as a removable Master Sword pedestal. Look for the two Technic pin holes on the base of the Ocarina of Time version (the foundations remain the same between the builds) to see where the side model separates.

Similarly, the Ocarina of Time model has an opening mouth that drops a Skulltula and a separate side build for Link’s house as well as references to spot in both versions of 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1.

LEGO 77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 prints

Those not as interested in The Legend of Zelda franchise (and equally those eager for the debut build based on the games) will be excited to see that there are several new and appealing prints across the set.

This includes the Sheikah Slate, multiple shields, two fairies including Navi (not to be confused with LEGO Avatar’s Na’vi) many Korok masks to scatter across the set and your collection and a new sign.

77092 The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 launches on September 1 for £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99 but pre-orders are open now. You can find out more about the first The Legend of Zelda LEGO set by clicking here.
