The 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group may be getting a nostalgic Collectible Minifigures Series later this year according to a new report.
Following rumours and speculation for a potential LEGO Super Mario Collectible Minifigures Series, brick_clicker on YouTube is also reporting that a selection based on the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group could be coming later this year.
It has been confirmed that the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group will be celebrated in 2022 with one set based on a classic theme, as voted by LEGO Ideas users and selected by judges. However, rumours now suggest that this won't be the only way that the occasion is celebrated.
71034 is reported to launch in July or August as a new range of Collectible Minifigures based on the anniversary, though even the source mentions that these rumours are only light and may not be accurate.
It could be that the potential series revisits other classic themes that haven't been selected for the upcoming model, with the top voted themes in the last poll being BIONICLE, Classic Space, Pirates and Castle.
