LEGO Marvel rumoured to revisit older movies in summer 2021

A rumoured list of LEGO Marvel’s summer sets has surfaced, with the theme allegedly set to return to fan-favourite movies such as Avengers: Endgame.

Before you go any further, remember that these are rumours, and nothing is confirmed until the LEGO Group makes an official announcement.

According to Promobricks, a total of 21 sets will release during the remainder of 2021, some of which have already been unveiled, leaving us with the following rumoured list of 14 sets.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is one of Marvel’s many upcoming movies and centres around the titular hero using his martial arts and other superhuman abilities. Very little is known about the movie but it’s currently set to release July 9 and according to Promobricks, the LEGO Group will allegedly be launching two sets to accompany it.

Helmet collection

We already know that the unofficially named helmet collection will be joined by 76199 Carnage later this year and, according to a mistake on the box art and the rumoured list, a Venom bust will also be joining it. However, Promobricks is reporting that another non-helmet set might be accompanying them both with Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet, complete with the six Infinity Stones. Promobricks’ description states that it will include plenty of tan and gold pieces.

76187 Venom – 565 pieces, €59.99 – May
76191 Infinity Gauntlet – 590 pieces, €69.99 – June

After an initial wave of sets for various Marvel Cinematic Universe films, LEGO Marvel is allegedly set to return to some MCU movies that have already released, rather than focusing entirely on upcoming films. This might be giving us a chance to revisit moments in the franchise that may have deserved a LEGO set. According to Promobricks, the selection includes Black Panther, Avengers: Endgame, Iron Man and more.

If the rumoured description is to be believed, many Marvel fans may be excited by 76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle which is allegedly going to include an Ant-Man microfigure, Captain America, Iron Man Mk 85, Thor, Scarlet Witch, Black Panther, a Chitauri and Thanos without his helmet alongside a build of the Avengers headquarters.

76186 Black Panther Dragon Flyer – 202 pieces, three minifigures, €19.99 – June
76189 Captain America and Hydra Face-Off – 49 pieces, two minifigures, €9.99 – June
76190 Iron Man: Iron Monger Mayhem – 479 pieces, three minifigures, €39.99 – June
76192 Avengers Endgame: Final Battle – 527 pieces, eight minifigures, €89.99 – June
76193 Benatar – 1,901 pieces, six minifigures, €149.99 – June
76200 Sanctuary II – 265 pieces, three minifigures, €29.99 – August

Spider-Man: No Way Home

The recently announced Spider-Man: No Way Home is the third movie in Spider-Man’s MCU films and other than the title, very little is known about the project. According to Promobricks, the following sets will supposedly release to accompany it:

76184 – 73 pieces, €19.99 – October
76185 – 355 pieces, €39.99 – October
76195 – 198 pieces, €19.99 – October

Disney+

So far, Disney+ has seen its fair share of success with shows such as The Mandalorian, WandaVision and more being a hit with audiences worldwide. The LEGO Group has already released sets for the Star Wars streaming show, so the Marvel ones seem sure to follow. Promobricks supports that thought with their rumoured list which says that one is allegedly planned for later in the year.

76194 – 369 pieces, €34.99 – August

This list, as exciting as it may be, should be taken with a pinch of salt and treated as a rumour until some kind of official announcement is made. In the meantime, we’ll keep you up to date on the LEGO Group’s summer 2021 sets, including whatever they have planned for Marvel.
