Next month’s LEGO CITY magazine includes a free construction worker

The next issue of the LEGO CITY magazine will arrive on February 3, complete with a free foil-bagged digger and construction worker minifigure.

Issue 36 of Immediate Media’s long-running title moves away from this month’s police theme into the world of construction, a subtheme seldom visited by the wider LEGO CITY line-up in recent years. We’ve had one-off construction sets like this year’s 60284 Roadwork Truck, but the last full-blown construction wave debuted all the way back in 2015.

That makes this future LEGO CITY magazine freebie a very welcome addition to the range of monthly foil-bagged models. The buildable digger is comprised of just 21 pieces, but one of them is an oversized loading component, so you really can’t grumble for what will presumably cost just £3.99 – as is standard for the LEGO CITY magazine.

You’ll be able to pick up Issue 36 – and its construction-themed freebies – from early February. In the meantime, you can now get your hands on Issue 35, which includes a free police officer and something vaguely resembling a helicopter. You can take a closer look inside that issue here, or check out what’s in the bag here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
