Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse LEGO animator turns his hand to Deadpool
Deadpool has got the same LEGO animation treatment as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, thanks to a young but experienced artist.
After working on the LEGO universe in Across the Spider-Verse, teen animator Preston Mutanga, aka LegoMe_TheOG on X, has turned his hand to Deadpool, recreating the irreverent superhero’s signature opening dance from the third movie out of animated bricks.
It doesn’t include any of the violence that the scene also features, likely to keep it family-friendly and in line with the LEGO Group’s guidance around violence, but it does accurately capture his fight-fuelled dance to NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye.
“I can’t get this scene out of my head,” Preston wrote on X in the post revealing the animated sequence.
This could well be the closest we get to a LEGO Deadpool, with no rumoured LEGO Marvel sets associated with the movie, despite it now being an official part of the MCU. Considering every scene contains at least one, if not multiple, examples of foul language, blood, and violence, it doesn’t seem like an easy one for the LEGO Group to adapt in all fairness.
