It’s Batman Day 2023, so how is the LEGO Group celebrating the event?

Fans around the world will be celebrating Batman Day 2023 in style today, so how exactly is the LEGO Group marking the occasion?

DC and Warner Bros. Discovery have staked September 16 as Batman Day, giving fans of the Dark Knight the chance to join in with global celebrations based around the pop culture icon. To commemorate the now-annual tradition, a range of events and activities will be taking place, alongside a Batcave-worth’s of exclusive merchandise being launched.

The official Batman Day 2023 landing page has all the details of what will be occurring and when, giving fans a snapshot of what to expect from all the fun and games. For instance, Batman Unmasked is currently underway in London, featuring an immersive pop-up experience for those in attendance, Bat-related films such as Joker are getting a cinematic re-release and the DC Shop is selling statues, prints and collectibles galore.

So, with Batman Day 2023 in full swing, just how is the LEGO Group getting involved with the Caped Crusader’s big celebration? Well, not at all so far. There’s been zero activity on any of the company’s social media platforms regarding the event nor are there any exclusive sets available to mark the occasion. That may change as the day progresses though, but the message put across to fans merely appears to add more fuel to fire when it comes to the LEGO Group’s handling of DC-related product and any potential future releases.

That’s not to say there haven’t been a handful of Bat-related LEGO set launches in recent months though and in fact we’ve seen a number of such models pop up on store shelves this year. 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box, 76265 Batwing: Batman vs. The Joker, 76224 Batmobile: Batman vs. The Joker Chase and 76259 Batman Construction Figure are all currently available for purchase, but beyond that your LEGO DC options are a little thin on the ground and maybe only the World’s Greatest Detective can work out why…
