One of the best new LEGO City 2024 sets is already nearly half price
You can already get your hands on one of the best new LEGO City 2024 sets for nearly half its original price, saving a staggering £40 on 60419 Police Prison Island.
A callback to one of the greatest LEGO City police sets of the past decade, 60419 Police Prison Island launched in January and usually retails for £89.99. But Amazon has slashed 44% off that price, bringing the 980-piece set down to just £49.99 – an unbelievably strong saving on a set that’s only just arrived on shelves.
Amazon prices are famously volatile, though, so don’t hang around if this deal has caught your eye: head over and place your order now while the going’s good. Current estimates suggest it will arrive by the end of April/beginning of May depending on whether or not you have Prime delivery, but a saving this substantial is worth the wait.
60419 Police Prison Island is a fresh take on 2016’s 60130 Prison Island, with a revamped colour scheme and approach that better fits the current crop of LEGO City police sets. And while this one doesn’t have a hot air balloon, there’s still so much going on in the box that you really won’t mind: as well as the prison itself, the model includes a police boat, a dinghy with which the prisoners can escape, a helicopter, three police officers and four prisoner minifigures.
Details include a cell with an escape tunnel and a courtyard with a secret hatch, so there are plenty of ways to stage a breakout. LEGO City has been going from strength to strength in the past 18 months, and 60419 Police Prison Island is no exception – so it’s very hard to say no to a deal like this. Click through to Amazon to secure your copy for 44% off while stocks last.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
