This detailed depiction of the recognisable plant uses 540 pieces to recreate the enemy as a display-centric model that is not dependent on the course-building LEGO Super Mario sets – the first in the theme to eschew them.

71426 Piranha Plant‘s non-electronic features include an opening mouth, a posable stem and leaves as well as a coin bank in its green pipe pot to store spare change or a couple of included LEGO Super Mario coins inspired by the games.
