Expect plenty of big announcements when CCXP 2022 kicks off tomorrow
Brazil’s annual entertainment expo, Comic Con Experience 2022, kicks off tomorrow and we’re expecting major news from the show.
CCXP22 is due to start on December 1, with the annual Brazilian entertainment expo set to run until December 4. Following recent social media posts for the upcoming event, it’s been revealed that the show will feature a variety of panels and announcements based around a number of huge IPs.
Among the big name brands making an appearance at the expo will be Lucasfilm, Disney Pixar, Marvel Studios, Paramount Pictures, Netflix, Universal and many others. Although it’s not yet known if any of the panels will be livestreamed, we do already know some initial details about properties that will be showcased and creative talent that’s scheduled to be on hand:
Panel | Featured projects | Guests | Date |
Lucasfilm | Indiana Jones 5 The Mandalorian Season 3 | TBC | December 1 |
Disney Pixar | Elemental | Denise Ream | December 1 |
Avatar | Avatar: The Way of Water | Zoë Saldaña Jon Landau | December 1 |
Marvel Studios | Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 | Kevin Fiege Paul Rudd Evangeline Lilly Jonathan Majors Peyton Reed | December 1 |
It’s possible that CCXP22 might be the place where Indiana Jones 5 finally receives its full title and a first-look trailer, although there’s been no official confirmation that will be the case. LEGO fans may also want to keep a close eye out over the next few days for announcements from the show, as any such major news could potentially hint at possible sets and minifigures for 2023 and beyond. However, nothing is official until we hear from the LEGO Group, of course, so do adjust your expectations accordingly.
CCXP is essentially the Brazilian version of San Diego Comic-Con, with thousands of fans from around the world flocking to the annual event. The first such expo was held in 2014 and this year’s show will once again feature the CCXP Awards, which focuses on pop culture achievements.
