Biggest LEGO Sonic summer 2024 set gets a rumoured description

The largest rumoured LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog set for the summer of 2024 has just got a rumoured description packed full of details.

Previously, we’ve only had a rumoured set name for 76999 Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster and price ($99.99) but now, thanks to Polish fan site FanKlockow, we’ve got a full rumoured set description for the set, ahead of its expected release sometime this summer. The set is believed to include – you guessed it – a Super Sonic minifigure, which should be essentially the same as the previous Sonic minifigure but in yellow and coming with a transparent launched ball, also in yellow.

The main build should be, as the name suggests, a drill vehicle in Dr. Eggman’s signature red, with a large red and yellow drill on the front, similar to those seen in the now-discontinued Power Miners theme. Two egg launchers are believed to be found on the sides of the drill and it’s also equipped with red-rimmed wheels. As well as the yellow Sonic minfigure, the set should also include Dr. Eggman, Shadow, and two buildable enemy creatures. As a side build, 76999 Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster is also rumoured to include a small brick-built lab with cabinets and a desk.

Of course, remember that, until we get an official reveal for 76999 Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster, there’s no confirmation that the LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog set is actually on its way, so keep that in mind for now.
