World’s biggest LEGO Store celebrates first birthday with new models and giveaways
The biggest LEGO store in the world is celebrating its first birthday with exclusive GWPs, giveaways, and new models to find in-store.
The LEGO Certified Store in Sydney is the biggest brick-and-mortar LEGO store in the world and it celebrated its first birthday this week, kicking off the celebrations yesterday with a sprawling LEGO Wicked display at the entrance, complete with lifesize brick-built models of Elphaba and Glinda. Once you step inside, there are details of some exclusive giveaways, including a LEGO Sydney Ferry Model – built by Ryan McNaught, known as the Brickman online. For every $50 (£25) you spend, you get entered into a draw to win the set.
For a more surefire GWP, you can come away with a free copy of the retiring 40641 Birthday Cake when you spend $199 or more (the equivalent of £100), only in-store. You can also add a limited edition first birthday stamp to your LEGO passport.

A much larger version of the Brickman’s Sydney ferry model is on display towards the back of the store, bringing the iconic ferry that operates throughout Sydney Harbour and the connecting Parramatta River to brick-built life.

This weekend, there are still more celebrations planned, details of which can be found on the store’s website. That includes live building demonstrations from Master Builders Michael and Gabby between 11.30am and 12.30pm on November 9 and 10, the opportunity to meet the LEGO Birthday Cake Guy between 12pm and 3pm on the same days, and a wheel to spin to win LEGO prizes between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on both days.
