Build a minifigure-friendly airport with new LEGO City sets out today

Two new LEGO City sets are out today online and in-stores – including an aeroplane that’s a little more minifigure-friendly than 10318 Concorde.

If that supersonic airliner is a little too big for your budget, minifigures or display space, a wallet-friendly alternative has just landed at LEGO.com in 60367 Passenger Airplane. One of two new LEGO City arrivals for September 1, the airport-themed set has touched down alongside 60381 LEGO City Advent Calendar 2023, which is one of five new Christmas countdown boxes available now.

60367 Passenger Airplane’s aircraft incorporates a detailed interior with seating, a cockpit and even a toilet, while the 913-piece set also packs in a baggage truck, catering truck and bus for transporting passengers to the terminal. (You’ll just have to build your own terminal. Sorry.) There are also seven minifigures to staff the various vehicles and sit in the plane’s seats.

The model retails for £89.99 in the UK, $119.99 in the US and €99.99 in Europe. That’s just over half the price of 10318 Concorde in the UK and US (and exactly half in Europe), making 60367 Passenger Airplane a much more palatable choice for travellers on a budget. If you’ve already got your sights set firmly on Xmas, though, you’re going to want to make a beeline for 60381 LEGO City Advent Calendar 2023.

This year’s seasonal set includes both Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, alongside a mix of festive mini-builds and minifigures behind 24 different doors. The 258-piece advent calendar retails for £19.99 / $34.99 / €26.99. Check out all the details on both new sets below.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
