The book, LEGO The Art of the Minifigure, is written by Brian Barrett and explores the history, evolution, and status of the iconic yellow LEGO minifigure. Barrett draws upon a range of sources, including interviews and essays, photography, infographics, and content from inside the LEGO Group’s archives. It will retail at $40.
The 2020 LEGO Wall Calendar, retailing at $14.99, features a range of LEGO art sculptures of everyday objects, including toothpaste, eggs and bacon, bushy houseplants, and more. As a hanging calendar, it spans 12×12 inches and has a double page for every month of the year.
Both items are available to pre-order now from the Chronicle Books website, but don’t ship until their respective publication dates. That’s July 27 for the calendar and September 14 for the book.
These are the latest products in a line of creations from the partnership between Chronicle Books and the LEGO Group. In the past, there have also been brick erasers and themed playing cards, as well as a range of other book titles.
