Take a closer look at LEGO Fortnite 77078 Mecha Team Leader

LEGO Fortnite 77078 Mecha Team Leader is the biggest release from the video game theme to date, one that appears to be packed with authentic details.

LEGO Fortnite fans should have plenty to be happy about today, with four new upcoming summer sets having been officially revealed. Included in that line-up is 77078 Mecha Team Leader, a massive 2,503-piece model that stands over 45cm tall.

The LEGO Fortnite set recreates the iconic robot character in plenty of detail and is the biggest and priciest release from the theme to date. The good news is that 77078 Mecha Team Leader appears to pack plenty into the build, so let’s take a closer look at the set to see what awaits eager fans.

LEGO Fortnite 77078 Mecha Team Leader

For starters, the larger-than-life character seems to emulate the look of the original quite closely, including its striking pink head complete with lightning scar print, pink torso, printed heart chest plate, giant sword and chest cockpit. New images of the LEGO Fortnite set also reveal that the model comes with a printed name plaque stand for the included Mecha Team Leader minifigure too.

In addition, 77078 Mecha Team Leader features three themed limbs based on other Fortnite skins, such as a green Rex arm and Tomatohead and Durrr Burger legs. The LEGO Fortnite model is also fully poseable, allowing builders to recreate their own epic scenes from Season 9’s Final Showdown event.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any sign of the character’s glowing blue energy fist as a possible accessory, or the option to recreate Mecha Team Leader in its alternate metal form, but those are minor niggles of what could prove to be a fan-favourite LEGO Fortnite set.

77078 Mecha Team Leader will launch on August 1, 2025, priced at £209.99 / $229.99 / €229.99 and can be pre-ordered right now.
