Combining two upcoming LEGO Friends sets offers impressive results

Two recently-revealed upcoming LEGO Friends sets can be combined together – the result being an impressive modular build.

Thanks to an online retailer, we recently got our first look at a number of new LEGO Friends sets that should start releasing from summer 2023. The line-up of upcoming models offers multiple colourful builds with mini-dolls, from plenty of beach-related fun to a range of leisure-based activities.

The LEGO Friends theme went through an extensive reboot earlier this year, with new characters, sets and a YouTube animated show all now available. The next wave of models is reported to arrive as early as next month and two in particular have a unique feature.

At first glance, 41747 Heartlake City Community Kitchen and 41748 Heartlake City Community Centre appear to offer separate modular builds, but have in fact been designed to be combined. The former has just a single level, while the latter boasts four floors. Now, thanks to Jay’s Brick Blog, we’ve got a good idea of what adding the two LEGO Friends sets together could look like.

In the image above (right), 41747 Heartlake City Community Kitchen is used as the base of the combined structure, with 41748 Heartlake City Community Centre then placed on top. Part of the roof section of 41747 Heartlake City Community Kitchen has been removed, in order to facilitate the additional floors above, and placed to one side as a little garden section.

In addition, it may be possible to mix and match floors, although that’s pure speculation on our part for now. Offering two modular builds at different price points certainly make sense and the ability to combine them together would seem to be the icing on the cake.
