Could LEGO Marvel rival LEGO Star Wars when it comes to helmets?

With another rumoured LEGO Marvel Helmet on the way, could the range grow to rival that of LEGO Star Wars?

So far, LEGO Marvel only has 76165 Iron Man Helmet, 76187 Venom, and 76199 Carnage. However, it could be joined by a brick-built version of Star-Lord’s helmet, according to recent rumours.

While these three, possibly four, are nothing to rival LEGO Star Wars’ collection of eight builds (including 75276 Stormtrooper Helmet and 75274 TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet on top of those pictured below), if you include 76215 Black Panther, 76191 Infinity Gauntlet, and 76223 Nano Gauntlet, the LEGO Marvel collection quickly grows to potentially rival that of LEGO Star Wars. While those last three are not helmets, the final build ends up in a similar style that’s ideal for displaying, much like the helmets.

This diversity in style, while keeping that unifying display-focused look, could be what lends LEGO Marvel to create a more dynamic collection of display sets. While Star Wars might have more helmet options to work with, Marvel is not lacking in magical or iconic objects that can be recreated in brick-built style.

Just from recent titles, some objects that are still yet to be turned into LEGO sets are the Darkhold, Ant-Man’s helmet, the Ten Rings, and the Eye of Agamotto, to name but a few. While Star Wars might be more suited to UCS ships, there’s so much potential left to be tapped in the MCU. The battle for the winning display collection is surely only just beginning.
