David Beckham starts building LEGO 71040 Disney Castle

Football superstar turned Unicef Goodwill Ambassador David Beckham has been getting stuck into LEGO 71040 Disney Castle.

The former England player and celebrity LEGO fan David Beckham shared a photo on Facebook, in which he is building 71040 Disney Castle.

Back in 2010, Beckham revealed his LEGO fandom when he mentioned in an interview that he had been building 19189 Taj Mahal, at the time the largest ever set. 71040 Disney Castle is the flagship set based on the Disney licence, a replica of the monument that is the centerpiece of the Walt Disney World theme park in Orlando, Florida.

Interestingly, the Brick Fanatics review of the set compared 71040 Disney Castle to 10189 Taj Mahal, saying that ‘Disney Castle is as close to a work of art as we are likely ever to get in a LEGO set. Not since the Taj Mahal have we been gifted with such an exquisitely detailed set.’ Perhaps David Beckham is getting his brick buying advice from the Internet’s go to LEGO resource.
