Deadpool 3 director reportedly in talks for a Star Wars film

Shawn Levy, the director of Deadpool 3 and executive producer for Stranger Things is reportedly in talks to direct a Star Wars film.

Deadline is reporting that Shawn Levy of the upcoming Deadpool 3 and Stranger Things is in talks to direct a Star Wars movie in the future. Nothing more is rumoured at this time, but any future Star Wars cinematic content would likely go appreciated given the franchise’s focus on Disney+ series as of late.

Of course, another promising aspect of a possible Star Wars film could be LEGO sets as most Star Wars projects recently receive some form of brick-built representation. At the time of writing, Lucasfilm and Disney have yet to confirm these details, so take with them caution for now.

Provided the third Deadpool film, which is bringing back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, is anything like the first two, it seems likely to have a fair amount of violence and gore. Stranger Things also featured its fair share of violent scenes so it may be interesting to see whether Levy’s past experience will inspire anything in this rumoured Star Wars project.
