Despicable Me 4 trailer revealed amid LEGO theme rumours

The first trailer for Despicable Me 4 has been released amid the rumours of a full LEGO theme, featuring the first look at Gru’s house in the movie.

Ahead of its release later this summer, Despicable Me 4 officially has a trailer, detailing the adventures to come for Gru’s family and the Minions in the movie. It might be worth watching this trailer as the film is rumoured to be getting a full LEGO theme later this year.

The trailer features many familiar faces from the first, second and third Despicable Me movies as well as some new characters on the sides of good and evil. The movie will see Gru’s family put in danger when new villains escape imprisonment, presumably to seek revenge on Gru for unknown reasons.

The rumoured LEGO theme has one set with a reported name – 75583 Gru’s House. While all rumoured information should be taken with an apt amount of caution, we get a great look at Gru’s house as it appears in Despicable Me 4 in the trailer as well as its kitchen and a pool at the back of the property.

Other sets are rumoured for LEGO Despicable Me 4, but there’s no indication of what they could be. In the trailer, we can see the likes of a modified wheelchair, a flying cockroach vehicle and a hot air balloon approaching a castle.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
